Who We Are

The Davenport Federal Liberal Association (DFLA) is made up of local volunteers committed to supporting Julie Dzerowicz and staying connected with our community. We’re focused on the issues that matter most to our community:

  • The cost of living is still too high for many families in Davenport. That’s why our federal government is providing direct grocery and essentials support, paused the Fuel Excise Tax to save on gas prices, and cut middle class taxes so 22 million Canadians can keep what they earn.

  • Our Liberal team is working to protect and restore our air, lands, our waters and our wildlife. When we build, we will ensure that our industrial strategy complements our environmental strategy, in close cooperation with local communities and Indigenous leaders. The industrial price on carbon ensures large emitters are not polluting for free while providing tax incentives for renewable energy development.

  • In May 2026, MP Dzerowicz broke ground on 51 new, affordable rental homes at 72 Perth Avenue in Davenport, with federal support from the Housing Accelerator Fund, the Apartment Construction Loan Program, and our new agency, Build Canada Homes.  The federal government is also helping first time home buyers by removing the HST from their purchase and helping with owning their own home possible. 

  • MP Dzerowicz announced federal funding for the Woman Abuse Council of Toronto (WomanACT) to support their multi-agency pilot to lead to fewer women being repeated victims of intimate partner violence - attended by the Abrigo Centre and Sistering. Canada cannot be strong if we do not have the full participation of women. This funding is part of a broader $223.4 million federal commitment over five years to end gender-based violence.

  • Our constituency of Davenport has one of the largest concentrations of artists, creators and cultural organizations in Canada, and MP Dzerowicz continues to ensure that government funding from many government sources is there to support the arts including our theatres, musicians, festivals, artists, performers, comedy clubs and cultural centres.
